Data-driven, justice-centered solutions for the triple planetary crisis
I’m a mission-driven climate scientist and advisor (BSc + MSc physics, UNAM; PhD bioinformatics, Max Planck Research School IMPRS-CBSC) with over 15 years of experience designing data-driven solutions to address the triple planetary crisis––pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
I combine expertise in scientific modeling, data science, risk assessment, and policy analysis with a track record of leadership in international, cross-disciplinary projects. My work supports policymakers, civil society, frontline communities, and companies in navigating complexity with clarity and accountability.
I thrive in high-impact roles that require analytical precision, creativity, and strategic systems thinking, as well as strong decisive judgment under uncertainty.
My Mission
Combat the triple planetary crisis by creating data-driven solutions with the capacity of reshaping the global growth-based economy, grounded in a commitment to social and environmental justice and resilience.
Approach
Whether leading a global research platform or supporting grassroots resilience strategies, I believe science is most powerful when co-created and embedded in collective action.
To achieve my mission, I focus on developing strategies to bridge the gaps between science, policy, and the needs of frontline communities, by:
- Understanding the history, needs, priorities, and elements of high symbolic value of affected communities
- Celebrating peoples’ freedom, knowledge, dignity and memory
- Creating strong multidisciplinary teams where every person’s skills and talents are appreciated and well used
Experience
With global experience across policy and fieldwork—and fluency in English, Spanish, and German (plus working knowledge of Arabic and French)—I bring intercultural sensitivity and a broad multidisciplinary perspective forged across academia, civil society, the private sector, and multilateral initiatives.
Currently, I lead research, strategy, and innovation for projects at the intersection of public policy, agri-tech, and science communication.
